We’re announcing the retirement of NGINX Amplify, our free-to-use NGINX monitoring service. If you currently use Amplify to monitor your NGINX instances, please read on for timeline details, why we’re making this change, and how to move to the NGINX One Console.

Why we’re retiring Amplify

  • We launched the NGINX One Console in March 2024 as our unified monitoring and management SaaS. It delivers a refreshed experience with continuous monthly feature releases, and this is where we’re focusing our resources and innovation.
  • NGINX One unifies monitoring, security, and management and brings capabilities that aren’t available in Amplify, including AI-powered configuration and security recommendations.
  • Both open-source and commercial NGINX instances can be monitored using the NGINX One Console.

Key benefits of transitioning to NGINX One

  • Manage your fleet: Oversee NGINX instances at scale from a centralized console.
  • Vulnerability awareness: Identify CVEs, expired certificates, and other issues.
  •  Use configuration sync groups to push and test consistent configurations across instances.
  • Simplify certificate management: Renew, replace, and update certificates from one place.
  • Centrally manage F5 WAF for NGINX (Formerly NGINX App Protect)
  • Get AI-powered config insights: Use the F5 AI Assistant to understand and improve your configurations.
  • Troubleshoot issues: Monitor traffic and identify bottlenecks in real time.

Timeline

  • Transition period begins on October 15, 2025.
  • Amplify will be retired on January 31, 2026. After this date, Amplify services will be unavailable.

Gaps between Amplify and NGINX One Console

  • Custom dashboards from Amplify will not be supported on NGINX One Console.
  • Some advanced alerting capabilities are not yet available on NGINX One Console. More are being added over time.
  • Core NGINX Metrics are available on the NGINX One Console. More are being added over time: https://docs.nginx.com/nginx-one/nginx-configs/metrics/review-metrics/

Costs and eligibility

  • If you are a current F5 NGINX customer, you can move to the NGINX One package at no extra charge. Contact your F5 account manager to add access to the NGINX One Console to your subscription.
