Connection, collaboration, and trust are the lifeblood of healthy community culture. NGINX Gateway Fabric and NGINX Ingress Controller were (and are) developed with open source community as a priority. From code contributions to critical comments, community participation has shaped the present and future of NGINX open source projects, and the future of technology.

Today, I’m excited to highlight two recurring opportunities to engage directly with the NGINX community: the NGINX Gateway Fabric community calls and the NGINX Ingress Controller community calls. One of the best ways to connect with contributors, maintainers, and users is through the community calls. These public meetings are a welcoming space to learn, get unblocked, and discuss what matters to you.

NGINX Gateway Fabric Community Calls

NGINX Gateway Fabric is our implementation of the Kubernetes Gateway API, designed to deliver scalable, modern application connectivity powered by NGINX.

To support the growing community around NGF, we host weekly community calls on Tuesdays, alternating between time zones for global accessibility.

In each meeting, the recurring agenda covers:

  • Announcements
  • Roadmap updates
  • Live demos
  • Pull requests, Issues, and Discussion reviews
  • Open Q&A and troubleshooting support

We’re eager to support migration efforts for users adopting Gateway API architecture.

Be Part of the NGINX Community

Both community calls reflect what makes the NGINX open source ecosystem strong: a commitment to building better solutions together.

If you’ve been looking for a way to get more involved, these calls are a great place to start. No matter your experience level with NGINX and Kubernetes, your perspective is valuable.

We’d love to see you there.
